Condition
The painting is not in an overall perfect condition. It is under a dirty varnish which would need to be cleaned. It has been recanvassed at the beginning of the 20th century which pressed a bit the medium. We see few restorations in the background and a restoration at the right of the main character nearby his ear.
Under the UV light : the painting is under a green uniform varnish. We see few restorations especially in the water.
