  • lacquer
boldly decorated to the front face with Guanyin seated on a double lotus base with attendants to either side, the reverse with a pair of recumbent Buddhist lions and cubs, all amidst ruyi clouds

Condition

In general good condition, with some surface cracking throughout, consistent with age for both sides. With some re-lacquering to the lacquer ground in various areas throughout for both sides, and slight repair to the lacquer on the hinge of two panels. With slight damage to one gilt lotus panel on the right end panel.
