each elongated oval body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall neck with everted rim, one carved in high relief with a large chilong clambering up the body, the other with a smaller chilong around the neck, the stone of pale celadon tone

Christie's London, 9th November 2007, lot 265.

Condition

This carving is in good condition with the exception of a small bruise to the smaller chilong's bifurcated tail. There are minor nicks to the extremities, including one to the tip of the larger chilong's ear and another at one of the rims. With natural flaws in the stone. Slightly more celadon in colour than illustrated in the catalogue.
