- ceramic
comprising: a pair of plates enamelled with three figures and a phoenix; a pair of plates enamelled with figures and a chariot; a plate with horses at play; and a ruby-backed plate enamelled with a maiden and two boys
Provenance
The ruby-backed plate purchased at Tajan Paris, 11th February 1998.
Condition
The pair of plates with three figures each have over-painting to approximately a third of the rim on the underside; the pair of plates with figures and chariots are in good condition with the exception of a 7cm., three-pointed star glaze crack to the base of one; the plate decorated with horses is in good condition with the exception of some enamel flakes; and the ruby-back dish has been broken into four pieces and repaired.
