the deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot, brightly decorated around the exterior with four large scaly dragons in mutual pursuit of flaming pearls, the interior with a medallion similarly painted, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark

Purchased in London, 13th May 1975.

Condition

The bowl is in good condition with the exception of rim frits, some of which have been filled, and minor chips to the rim and slight scratches to the surface. There are minor burst bubbles and iron spots.
