the deep rounded sides rising from a short foot to a slightly everted rim, brightly painted and enamelled around the exterior with a deer in a rocky landscape and a monkey sitting in a peach tree, the interior with lingzhi spray medallion, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua six-character reign mark; together with a doucai 'deer' saucer dish, Kangxi period

Condition

The bowl has two rim hairlines (approx. 6.5 cm and 7 cm), and two chips (approx. 1.2 x 1 cm, 1 x 0.5 cm), rim frits, some of which have been filled, and brown adhesions to the interior. The dish has rim frits.
