depicted reclining against a wine jar, all brightly glazed in green, cream and ochre, wood stand; together with a famille-verte brushrest, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period, wood stand

Provenance

The figure: Hotel Drouot, Paris, April 1977.
The brushrest: purchased in London, 25th June 1974.

Condition

The figure has restoration at the outstretched foot, firing and glaze lines particularly around the wine jar, the other foot and the sleeves. There is a rim hairline on the wine jar approx. 3 cm. The tips and lower portion of the brushrest is restored, and there are minor glaze flakes and chips to the extremities. Both have burst bubbles and iron spots.
