the globular body with slightly concave base, irregularly splashed in green, ochre and cream glazes, the slightly domed cover surmounted by a lotus bud finial and similarly glazed

Condition

The waterpot is in good condition except for slight scratches and small areas of brown adhesions to the surface, and minor firing lines (approx. 1.5 cm and 1 cm). The cover has minute frits to the rim, and a small (approx. 1 by 3 cm) area that has been re-attached. There are slight flaking and rubbing to the glaze.
