Description

  • Glazed pottery
freely painted to the interior in green on an ivory-coloured ground with a large central flower surrounded by a floral band, the exterior skirted with stylised lotus petals, the base left unglazed

Bluett & Sons Ltd., London (according to label).

Condition

The dish is in reasonably good condition with frits and glaze flakes to the rim, frits and one chip to the foot (approx. 3 x 1 cm), and another chip at the exterior (approx. 0.6 x 0.2 cm). In the interior there is a glaze line approx. 9 cm long, and another on the opposite side (approx. 14 cm). There is slight glaze crackle overall, and wear to the surface, along with some burst bubbles and iron spots in various areas.
