Description

the curved sides of each rising from a slightly spreading foot to flared rims, the exterior painted in bright enamels with three pink peony blossoms on a yellow ground framed with green scrolling foliage, flanked with blue peony blossoms, all on a coral ground, the interior painted in iron-red with five bats, wufu, around a central shou medallion, below a thin band of ruyi in pink, yellow and green enamels, the base with hall marks reading Caixiutang zhi in underglaze blue

Condition

One dish has a 3.5cm curved crack running from the rim and a 1cm crack to the opposite side rim. The other dish has a 1.7cm crack to the rim and a 17cm by 3mm area of restoroation/repainting to the rim. There is also some areas of wear to the iron red to the interior.
