the compressed globular body rising from a short foot to a gently flared rim, the sides surmounted with a pair of fixed ring loops issuing from two lion-heads, the base with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark

Condition

The censer is in overall very good condition, with minor nicks to the rim and footrim and two areas of traces of old sellotape to the side.
