Description

both standing and dressed in long robes, one figure clutching a staff in one hand and a sprig of prunus blossoms in another, with a boy also holding a prunus branch, the other figure holding a lotus spray in one hand with a boy in front grasping a second spray, together with a carved ivory figure of Shoulao, wood stands

Condition

The dragon head on the staff the Shoulao is holding is broken off but not missing. There is a small chip on the peach in front, and possibly a small section attached to the peach is missing. The other two figures are in general good condition, with the exception of minor losses on the prunus branch and staff for one figure. The lotus stem held by the boy of the other figure is re-attached, and there is an approx. 2.5 cm wide area on the back extending to the sleeves with a possible water stain. There are minute nicks to the extremities for all three, and slight stains to the lower portions of the back.
