the ovoid body, applied with turquoise-glazed Buddhistic lions forming the handle and the spout and moulded with four stylised chrysanthemum roundels, the small circular cover with a small crouching Buddhistic lion finial

Condition

This is in general good condition with the exception of the spout which has been restored, and has a chip at the tip. There are short firing lines to the rim of the cover, the teapot rim, lions and base. The glaze on the lions is slightly crackled. There are minor nicks to the extremities and burst bubbles in various areas.
