A CANTON CARVED IVORY BASKET AND COVER QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY

the curved sides finely carved and pierced with eight panels enclosing figures in landscapes, the rim set with a high curved handle imitating bamboo, the inside carved with flowers on scrolling branches, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a peach-shaped finial

This cover is in reasonable condition, but an area of the rim of the cover has become detached and one of the joins to the cover is slightly warped and there are various cracks and minor breaks/losses to the cover. The basket is in reasonably good condition with some minor breaks and losses to the panels.
