the wood ruyi-head inset with an oval plaque carved with an elephant and figures in a landscape, the shaft and end inset with smaller oval plaques carved with flowers in a rocky landscape, the jade of pale celadon-white tone

Purchased in 1979.

Condition

All three jade plaques are in overall good condition. The lower plaque with some very small chips to the carved relief. The wood head has been broken off and re-stuck. There some age cracks in the wood, the longest measuring ca. 3 cm on the back of the head.
