carved and pierced with three figures on the deck of a sampan, the stone of pale celadon tone with russet inclusions, carved wood stand and fitted box

Provenance

Purchased in Hong Kong in 1981.

Condition

The jade sampan is in overall very good condition, with minute fritts to the edges of the carving. The stand is in overall good condition with expected age cracks, and minor losses. Slightly more celadon in colour than illustrated in the catalogue.
