the box of circular form with straight sides and a slightly domed cover with the russet skin, the well polished stone of pale celadon tone, wood stand

M Gate.
Purchased in Singapore 1979.

Condition

There is a ca. 3 cm long polished area on the edge of the base of the box, probably contemporaneous to the time of the carving. The inside of the box is unpolished. There are minute fritts to the edges of the box and cover.
