the slightly tapered body rising to a cylindrical neck and everted mouth rim, painted in varying shades of cobalt blue with a dignitary and attendants in a courtyard, the back with a large plantain tree issuing from craggy rocks, the neck with stylised floral sprays separated by a double circle

Condition

This vase is in good condition with the exception of a crack in the body (approx. 10 cm), and a hairline crack just above the foot (approx. 4.5 cm). There are minor firing imperfections including a small area of glaze inconsistency in the interior (approx. 1.5 cm by 6 cm), and very minor iron spots and burst bubbles.
