Description

of slightly waisted cylindrical form, painted in rich cobalt-blue tones with a bird flying amid a river of lotus pads and other water plants issuing from rockwork, all between two incised double lines around the rim and base

Condition

This brushpot is in good condition except for very minor fritting to the rim, slight scratches to the interior and a small glaze flake to the bottom, and minor firing imperfections including tiny iron spots and burst bubbles, mostly to the interior.
