the deep rounded sides rising to a gently flaring rim, painted to the interior with a medallion enclosing a peony spray, surrounded by undulating leafy peony scrolls, the exterior similarly decorated with large floral blooms surrounded by floral and foliate scrolls above a border of lappets at the foot, the base with a six-character mark within a double-circle in underglaze blue

Condition

The bowl is in general good condition, with the exception of an approx. 4 by 6 cm area of restoration from the rim, and minor firing imperfections including tiny burst bubbles and iron spots.
