QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
the outer vase painted with scenes of officials and ladies in a landscape, divided by four rectangular panels reticulated with lattice diapers above archaistic dragon balustrades, each framing a curtained cartouche opening to reveal an inner revolving vase painted with equestrian warriors, the neck similarly decorated with ladies and attendants in a landscape between trellis bands, inscribed with an apocryphal Kangxi mark at the base
