Description

  • porcelain
with shallow rounded sides supported on a splayed stem encircled by a raised fillet, covered overall in a copper-red glaze thinning to white at the rim, the white base inscribed with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue

Condition

The tazza is in overall good condition. An approx. 2.3 cm section of the footring has possibly been lightly polished to conceal an earlier nick. There are also expected minor firing imperfections, including a short firing line to the foot.
