the ovoid body rising to a waisted neck and flared rim, the exterior carved with a frieze of taotie masks between bands of studs and ruyi, the neck collared by plantain leaves and flanked by a pair of archaistic phoenix handles, all below a ruyi band at the mouth rim, covered overall in a celadon glaze, the base with a seal mark reading Qishi Shanfang within a square
