the deep rounded body freely carved with vertical ribs and cresting waves at the angled shoulders, set with a strap handle opposite a long curved spout, covered overall in an ivory-cream glaze

Condition

The ewer is in overall good condition. There are expected firing imperfections, the most visible an approx. 5 cm firing crack to the shoulder. There are also glaze crackles to the spout and mouth, some possibly running deeper into the body with associated minute flakes. There are expected small chips to the foot.
