of square section, inlaid in hardstones with a foreigner riding on a galloping horse and holding an alms bowl below a bird in flight

Condition

The box is of overall good condition except for a crack to the inner tray, and slight split to joints of the lower back wall to both side walls. The bottom and the interior walls still left with minor paper lining residue, with some ink calligraphy still visible.
