each painted in vivid tones of cobalt blue, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a large and small peony flower borne on leafy stems, all encircled by further peony blooms on a leafy meander repeated on the exterior, above a lappet band just above the foot, the base inscribed with a six-character mark within a double circle, wood stands
