Description

  • jade
carved in high relief with a large chilong looking downward at a smaller chilong, the stone of a variegated celadon and russet-brown colour

Condition

Sections of the buckle appear to have been lightly polished to conceal an earlier chip, especially the upper edge and one corner of the lower edge. The buckle is otherwise in overall good condition with natural veins to the stone. The catalogue illustration is redder than the actual colour of the stone.
