Description

  • Group of rare early albumen images of Bermuda. [Bermuda: 1866-1869]
  • paper, ink, leather
All mounted to larger sheets (most measuring 10 1/4 x 12 in; two slightly smaller), disbound from an album. Ten images mounted within a ruled frame, with ink or pencil manuscript captions below dated 1866. Yellowing of the highlights and some fading; soiling on a few prints and on all of the mounts; waviness to the mounts; occasional tears and small losses to the mount edges; a few plates with small tears which occurred prior to or as a result of mounting. Housed in a cloth box.
