Catalogue Note

A RARE ACCOUNT of travels in the Niger valley of West Africa. Anderson was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but emigrated to Liberia with his family when he was sixteen. He was one of the first westerners to explore the area around Musardu, in modern day Burkina Faso.
