Catalogue Note

Dr. George Murray Levick (1876–1956) studied Adélie penguins during the British Antarctic Expedition (Terra Nova), 1910-1913. He produced the four-page pamphlet ‘Sexual habits of the Adélie penguin’ with his findings at Cape Adare. It was printed in 1915, but declined for publication due to its shocking contents.
