Condition
The illustration is quite accurate. Please note that as stated in the saleroom notice, the table is not Louis XVI period but later.
Very attractive veneer which give a silk effect. Expected and usual marks scratches and minor cracks. Few stains as "glass circle". Pretty model in overall fair condition. The top now fixed with iron elements. When removed, the top shows an empty compartment (there is no drawer in the frieze). With a later stamp of Carlin. The mounts with stains and wear, fine chasing. The thin gilt rim of the frire to be refixed. The table has been quite heavily adapted from possibly an earlier table. Nevertheless it remains very decorative and elegant.
