Description
- silver, saphir, ivoire d'hippopotame amphibien
- Height 5,5 cm, 2 in., length 7,3 cm, 3 in.; 414,3 g., 13 oz 6 dwt
resting on a rectangular terrace, opened mouth, with blue saphire eyes, ivory teeth, stamped BORGILA G9 SWEDEN on the terrace

Condition
In overall good condition with a fine hammering all over the surface and chiselling, notably on the nose. The terrace is engraved with the monogram KH. The two small front teeth are partly missing.
The teeth are carved in hippopotamus ivory (Hippopotamus amphibius) and are listed under the Appendix II of the Washington Convention (CITES) and Appendix B of the European Community Regulation 338/97, dated 9/12/1996.
