Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. As stated in the catalogue, both armchairs are re-gilt. There are chips and rubbed areas with some losses to the gilding, revealing the white gesso, the red bowl and the wood underneath. There are old woodworms traces. Both constructions are firm. There are some wears and tears to the 18th century tapestries.
