Description

  • Bust of a Bacchant
  • terracotta ; on a red marble and gilt-bronze column
  • Haut. (totale) 23,5 cm; height (overall) 9 1/3 in.

Condition

The terracotta bust has been broken and restored with seams, small losses and traces of glue visible to the underside, where the bust is attached to the column. Surface dirt and minor chips along the edges of the marble column. There is a loss to the back of the Nymph's proper right.
