Description

Condition

In fairly good condition with surface dirt, notably to the base and in the crevices, and chip to the edges and on the high points consistent with age and handling. There is some weathering all over the surface due to outside exposure of the marble. The head of the dog has been reattached with a joint visible aloong his neck. His two ears are parlty missing, his muzzle is fairly weathered and a small loss is visble to one of his toes. There is grey natural veining and inclusion all over the surface consistent with the material. There is surface dirt to the three elements composite-stone base, notably to the lower element. Chips are visible along the edges of the three elements with larger losses to the upper edge of the lower element and the lower edge of the column.
