Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable minor scratches and marks due to age and use. A part of the seatrail at the rear has been replaced and is only visible to close examination. A few old and inactive traces of woodworm. There are some minor old restorations to the frieze. The upholstery is in fair condition. The construction is firm and sound. The seatrail has been reinforced with three later metal transversal rails which are only visible when the sofa is flipped. Nice carving.
