Description

  • Apollo seated holding a lyre in front of an Athenienne and a snake
  • Oil on canvas, a tondo
  • Diam. 136 cm ; 53 1/2 in

Condition

The canvas has a loose relining. The large, dirty canvas appears in good condition. The craquelure is quite pronounced. Inspection with UV confirms the good overall condition. Relining would improve the craquelure and the picture would respond well to cleaning.
