with a grapevine frieze, the feet with foliate scrolls, upholstered in yellow satin silk

Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable minor scratches and marks due to age and use There are some chips to the gilding revealing the white gesso underneath. A few losses to the vine leaves of the frieze. Both constructions are firm and sound. the upholstery is distressed. some traces of old and inactive woodworm. Very elegant model.
