Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. As stated in the catalogue, there are accidents to the armchair: one foot has been broken and there are cracks with one loss to the seatrail near the accident. The seatrail has been reinforced with new pieces of wood. The upper part of the armchair is loose and needs to be refixed to the base. The painting is peeling off to some places. The leather is in bad condition with stains, tears, and scratches. The armchair would benefit from a restoration.
