with straight armrests, the front shaped legs with Egyptian heads ending in lion paw feet, upholstered in yellow velvet; (the armrests transformed)

Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate but the velvet is less yellow in reality. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. There is a restoration to the corner of the upper right hand side part of the backrest. As stated in the catalogue, the central part of the armrests is restored with a new piece of mahogany (the armrests were probably previously upholstered). The seatrail has been reinforced with four wooden blocks. The yellow velvet is in good overall condition. The construction is firm and sound.
