Description

  • 119cm. high, 61.5cm. diameter; 3ft. 10¾in., 2ft.
each painted with borders of grape and vine and the top centred by small shield above two further graduated tiers on a reeded stem and downswept legs ending in castors

Condition

In ready to place condition. Painting possibly later and with some minor rubbing. Restored break to moulded fixing on underside of one top and old re-paired break to leg of this example too. The other with repaired break to one leg and similar repair to moulding under top, the middle circular tier with repaired age crack. The pair are nice quality and generally in good order. The arms to each top are those of VISCONTI, of Milan. Ref. Armorial Général, by J.B. Rietstap, Vol. I, page 1012
