stylised Vine pattern, comprising: 24 dessert spoons, 24 dessert forks, 24 ice cream spoons, 18 large serving spoons, 24 silver-gilt bladed dessert knives, 24 steel bladed dessert knives, two pairs of grape scissors, a sifter spoon, a cream ladle, a pair of ice cream spades, two salt spoons, together with four matched hexagonal cream and sugar bowls, Robert Garrard, London, 1838-39; all pieces engraved with a cypher below an earl's coronet, in a fitted oak canteen with lift-out drawers, inset brass panel engraved â€˜The Rt Hon The Earl of Listowell’

Condition

Generally very good. Good clear marks throughout, the knives with steel blades a little more rubbed. The steel blades are stained with some light rusting in places. All fit fairly well at junctions. Gilding of good colour. Nice gauge. Spoon bowls slightly sharp. A few forks with bruised/bent tines. The knives (with silver-gilt blades) with similar bruising to tips. The box in good order but no key. Overall good condition.
