in the pattern used for the Service ordinaire for Louis Philippe at Fontainebleau, printed and brightly coloured with ornate foliage bands with animals, reserving lozenges encasing trophies and crowned LP monograms, with central gilded foliate motif, comprising; 2 two-handled circular vegetable tureens and covers, 27cm., 10 3/4 in. across handles; 10 plates, 24.3cm., 9 5/8 in. diam.; 6 slightly smaller plates, 23cm., 9in. diam.; 13 soup plates, 23.8cm., 9 3/8 in. diam.; a footed bowl, 28.5cm., 11 1/4 in. diam. and two large oval dishes, 50.8cm., 20in. and 56.3cm., 22 1/8 in. wide, blue crowned LP monogram, iron-red Château De F. Bleau, and green stencilled marks
Condition
In overall good appearance, and in generally good condition for a service of this size.
The bowl has an area of restoration. 1 soup plate has a rim chip and associated hairline crack. 2 soup plates and 2 dinner plates have an area of restoration at the rim.
Otherwise some wear to the gilded frieze around the wells and to the gilded medallions consistent with stacking.
