Description

  • 11.5cm., 4 1/2 in. diameter
circular, the sides, pierced with panels of foliage and scroll cartouches engraved respectively 'PORT,' 'SHERRY,' 'MADEIRA' and 'CLARET' below undulating gadroon lips, turned wood bases, the 'Madeira' and 'Sherry' lacking date letters

Condition

Predominantly good clear marks to galleries, some partially lost within piercing. The wooden bases and green baize are later replacements. Possibly some old repairs to galleries but certainly well finished and not obvious.
