the glazed compartments between cluster column uprights and with mirrored backs, the ogee arched tops surmounted by crocketed finials

Provenance

Almost certainly commissioned by Henry Howard, (1757-1842) for the Library at Corby Castle, Cumbria.
Thence by descent until sold, Phillips house sale, Corby Castle, 18th May 1994, lot 123.

Condition

Superb quality. Losses to elements. Some re-glued carved elements. One with a velvet lined based.
