painted with vignettes of figures in a landscape, within a gilt decorated and turquoise border, within borders of beaded and stepped gilt-metal

Decorative and with the signs of wear that one would expect when the age of the piece is considered and the types of materials from which it is made. Losses and repairs to enamel on front and back long panel. Other panels with some dis-colouration and minor . Rubbing and tarnishing to gilt-metal. Lid is a little stiff to open.
