- case 36.1cm., 14 1/4 in. long
with Greek key banded border around a central cypher below a coronet, opening to reveal three rectangular silver-gilt mounted cut-glass boxes, various sizes; five silver-gilt mounted cut-glass bottles, various sizes, with stoppers; six silver-gilt mounted cut-glass jars, various sizes, two with locks for ink; a silver-gilt beaker and further silver-mounted bottle, a vinaigrette, and a snuff box; all with raised foliate scroll rims, each centre engraved with a coronet; crushed pink velvet interior, later mirrored interior cover, leather folder gilt-tooled Wells & Lambe, Manufacturers, 29 Cockspur St.
Condition
Super quality. The cover with a little damage to the inlay to front right border. Missing tray of sewing/manicure implements. The glass with small chips and a few small cracks, generally good. Key absent.
