Condition

The canvas is unlined. The paint surface is relatively clean. There is a 1 cm tear in the upper left, to the right of the temple. Under ultra violet inspection there is some minor retouching to the foliage on the right hand side, and some further strengthening on the tree at the centre in the trunk and branches. There is also some strengthening in the figures and boats on the left. Above the boats there are three 5 cm. horizontal areas of recent restoration. The work is offered in a carved and moulded gilt wood frame in god condition.
