Description

curving double edged steel blade with central ridge, the iron hilt shaped as a parrot's head with gold overlay foliate decoration, velvet-covered wood scabbard, gold-overlaid iron mount to terminal

Condition

the blade with some oxidisation and scratches, the iron hilt also oxidised, the gold in good condition, bright, some rubbing with resulting losses consistent with age and use, scabbard fragile, one side of wood completely cracked (handle with care particularly when removing dagger), remnants of velvet only, gold-overlay iron mount, leather hook for attaching, as viewed.
