Description

  • steel and agate
double-edged ridged watered-steel blade with gold overlaid decoration, the hilt set with cut agate panels and polychrome gemstones, carved silver-covered wood scabbard also set with polychrome gemstones and scale design to reverse

Condition

Generally good condition, gemstones bright, some with minor ware to surface and few possibly later replacements, the blade with minor oxidisation and rubbing to gold, gemstone include rubies, sapphire, emeralds, rock crystal, tourmalines, amethyst and possibly garnet, as viewed.
